"Simplify, Simplify, Simplify"! has become my motto. It is all about handcrafted, organic, natural, frugal living that helps my family become more self-sufficient. It's about simplifying our lives to make time for the things that really matter...faith, family, friends, neighbors and service to others.

Patriotism
So what is your definition of patriotism? Yesterday, I experienced one definition. Yesterday, we enjoyed a nice, free dinner at the Golden Corral. It was Military Appreciation Monday, a tradition of the Golden Corral for the last eleven years. While there, we met a very nice woman who works there. She is probably one the most patriotic people I have ever met. Born in Iran, she came to the United States after many threats to her life due to her Christian faith in a Muslim nation. Six years ago, she became a legal citizen of America! What a pleasure and a privilege to meet her! I pray that those of us who were born here will have the same feelings of love and appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy!

Veterans Day!
This will be short and sweet. My husband's breathing problems are returning so it looks like yet another trip to the VA emergency room for us...sigh!
Remember to thank a veteran today for the service that they provided to our great country! Sometimes, as in my husband's case, a veteran's service has long term, life long effects on his or her life. A simple expression of thanks can go a long way in helping to ease the pain.
So what are your plans for the weekend? If I'm not at the hospital with hubby, I will be attending my Relief Society Super Saturday! I love Super Saturdays....they just don't happen often enough.
Until next, KISMIF!!
